Hair industry education near Hollywood Hills is hard to find when you are working full-time. Most salons promise paid continuing education in the offer letter and never deliver. Bokaos Aveda Salon & Spa delivers. Our team trains at Aveda Institute multiple times a year, plus quarterly in-house technique workshops, plus paid certifications across our partner brands.
Why Stylists From Hollywood Hills Drive to Bokaos Aveda Salon & Spa
Hollywood Hills is creative-industry residents with on-camera-ready hair needs. Our chair is roughly 28 minutes away west on the 134 to the 101, and the drive is worth it because of what is on the other side of it. Stylists come to us from Hollywood Hills for the same reasons clients do. Our team is small, the work is real, and the mentorship is direct. You will not be one of forty stylists rotating through chairs. You will be on a team where Hasblady knows your name, your goals, and your weak spots, and the senior stylists have actual time to walk you through the work. For stylists in Hollywood Hills who want their next chair to be the chair they stay at for the next decade, this is the drive.
How Bokaos Aveda Salon & Spa Pays For and Protects Your Education
Continuing education is built into the calendar at our salon, not bolted on. Aveda Institute training is paid by the salon, scheduled during work hours where possible, and required for every team member at least twice a year. Olaplex, K18, Brazilian Blowout, GK Hair, and Keratin Complex certifications are all available and salon-paid for stylists who want them. Quarterly in-house technique workshops cover what each year's industry trends actually require, taught by Hasblady and visiting educators. Stylists do not pay out of pocket for any required training, and most optional training is also salon-funded.
Who Works at Bokaos Aveda Salon & Spa
Our team is led by owner and master stylist Hasblady Guzman, who has been behind the chair and behind this salon since 1995. Hasblady is in the salon every week, in a chair, working alongside the team and personally mentoring apprentices and junior stylists. The Bokaos team includes stylists like Aly, Andrew, Analicia, Arghi, Sal, plus our senior color and chemical-treatment specialists. Every team member is licensed in California, Aveda-trained, and works across the full menu including cut, color, balayage, smoothing, extensions, and Aveda spa services. Visit our Meet the Team page for individual stylist profiles.
